The 6 Accessories You Need in Your Life This Autumn/Winter 2017

It wasn’t just the gorgeous clothing on the A/W17 runways that left me making a mental shopping list. I’m in love with some of the accessories I spotted.  If you’re keen to look on-trend this season, you’ll also need the right accessories to complete your outfits.

I’m here to help you whittle down to just the pieces you need to focus on to finish your look.

These are the 6 accessories that I’m going to be investing in this season:

An interesting hat

Hey, I’m in love with anything that keeps my head warm and looks on trend. And this year, I think I’m ready to have a little more fun with my headgear. Based on the number of zany hats spotted on the runways this season, it’s worth investing in one or two. This flat brimmed hat by Ted Baker at ASOS is cute without being too crazy.

A sparkly necklace

The sparkle was everywhere this fashion season, on clothes and accessories. I’m planning to invest in (at least) one blingy necklace to see me through the holiday season. This short necklace by Accessorize is perf for dressing up any outfit.

A comfy scarf

I love wrapping up in snug (almost shawl-like) scarves when it gets chillier. This one from Anthropologie is what I’ll be reaching for to keep me warm on those chilly winter nights.

An oversized bag

I’m obsessed with some of the gigantic bags I spotted on the runways this season. (Especially because it allows me to cart around more of my junk in style). Zara does some great ones – I love this maxi tote bag in silver.

A slouch boot

Did you ever think something so slouchy could look so sexy?  This was one of the biggest shoe trends that emerged on all the fashion runways for this season. I’m obsessed with these cone heel boots by ASOS.

The single earring

I wasn’t initially sure whether I’d be bold enough to go out with just one earring. But I’m giving it a go. The lone earring trend came back in the summer and has continued on into the fall season. I may try this look with an oversized ear cuff or one long earring. And if any of you are feeling particularly bold, try going out with half a pair of statement earrings like these ones from ASOS.
