Okay, how many of you have ever heard this fashion “rule”? You should never wear white after labor day?
It is absolutely time that we get rid of this very silly so-called rule. Who’s in?
‘Cause seriously, with white such a wonderful neutral that can work with so many various outfits, it’s a styling nightmare to take out such a basic color from your wardrobe options. So today we’re taking a stance and we’re adding white back into the mix for fall! Specifically we’re going to share with you how you can style a pair of white jeans to work for these cooler months.
Let’s find out how!
1) With Chambray

Nothing screams fall like classic chambray. A staple in every fashionista’s wardrobe, we’re pretty certain you’ve got the perfect chambray top hiding in the back of your closet. Dark chambray or light, when paired with white denim, you can’t go wrong. The perfect mix of classic and casual, you’ll be looking perfectly fall ready with this look.
2) With Grey

If you’re thinking your white jeans seem a little too summery, it’s time to add another neutral into the mix. While black is of course a great option, we absolutely love the idea of pairing white and grey. There’s just something perfectly wintery about the pairing of these two colors. For an extra cozy outfit, look for a slouchy, cable knit sweater. You’ll look right at home in front of a warm fire in this outfit.
3) Add Boots

There’s no way to get your outfit looking more cold weather appropriate than by adding boots to your look. Whether it’s an ankle boot, riding boot, or over-the-knee boot, the addition of a boot automatically gives your outfit a fall edge.
4) Plaid Never fails

And when all else fails, you absolutely can not go wrong when you add plaid to any fall outfit. Plaid is basically the Queen of fall fashion. Seriously, if you want to feel fall ready, throw on a plaid shirt and it will make all the difference.
As you can probably tell, the secret to making your white denim more fall appropriate is to simply add fall staple pieces, like chambray or plaid. If you were to wear a bright pink, floral top with your white denim, then yes, this probably would give off too summery of a vibe for a chilly fall day. But, when you style your white denim with classic fall pieces, nobody will even question your choice to wear white denim in the fall.
You do you, girl.
